I think it's the best solution for Kelly Kelly. Her character was not evolving, even by the time she was still used, and she had made it clear a few months earlier that she wanted time on her own, for her family, but also to work on other fields (modeling, acting, etc...). Whatever opportunities she'll meet in the future, she'll probably be happier than with what WWE was giving her recently.
Now about comments I read such as "Alicia Fox is the next", be careful not to mix jealousy and personal feelings with wrestling judgment. There are diva which are less talented or more dangerous in their moves or with a character less developed than Alicia's. The Diva division is just getting more attention these past weeks. Sooner or later she'll be given the opportunity to show her real potential and then, we'll see if she's WWE's material or not. Who she's dating in her private life should not enter into account in the way you see her.

I'm not a fan of the diva division as it stands anyway. Most of the divas were spotted through modelling not their undying love for the wrestling business. This worked very well for a while and made the wwe a lot of money, but you see less and less of them on TV now. Things change, fans tastes change, you cant have the same old thing again and again it gets boring.
The business is so fickle, you dont know who will be next.
Im not a fan of Alicia, never have been when watching wrestling, but if she continues to give the powers that be what they are looking for, then best of luck to her!

I'm glad also that Kelly Kelly has been released. Im all for real womens wrestling. The novelty of having her around had to run out eventually, theres only so much you can do with that particular type of character and I think they have pretty much exhausted it over and over. Im looking forward to seeing a Brit wrestler at the moment in NXT come over, Paige Me, too. Paige fucking rocks! She reminds me of the British version of Lita. Her theme song fucking rocks and if she does get called up to the main roster, hopefully she'll get to use that theme song for her character, too.

Personally, I liked Alicia Fox better than Kelly Kelly every time. Alicia Fox had a lot more talent than Kelly Kelly ever had. At least, Alicia had better in-ring skills and dancing skills than Kelly Kelly ever had. I would hate to see Alicia Fox get released from the WWE. She was really talented.

I agree that the business is fickle, especially with how the WWE creative team is writing crappy, storylines right now. Creative Team should sometimes read the WWE fanfictions fans create. Once you remove the silly Mary-sue's and the Kinky PWP (Plot? What Plot?), you obtain quite regularly very interesting, logical and developed storylines

Not everyone who doesn't like Alicia Fox is jealous of her going out with Wade. I really don't see any sort of hope for Alicia Fox. How long has she been in the WWE for? She really is just another model that will probably end up getting released like Kelly Kelly did. Her wrestling moves are less than stellar and she botches her moves quite frequently. If you watch her interviews outside from the WWE, she never has anything intelligent to say and I'm sorry but she sounds like a complete idiot. Not to mention she's a really bad actress. Her backstage segment with Beth Phoenix and Kaitlyn was EXTREMELY painful to watch. WWE needs more divas like Natalya and Beth. I'm happy Kaitlyn is finally getting somewhere and am VERY glad to see AJ getting a major push. She's really impressed me and I can see her becoming a diva's champion and carrying that title well. Hopefully WWE has big things planned for her.

I too am happy to see Kelly Kelly gone. I was never a fan of hers to begin with.
I'm hoping with Sara Del Rey helping with the training of the new divas coming to WWE, they can hopefully revamp this division in the future.

Though she's firmly on what I have jokingly referred to as the "Do Not Pity This Person EVER" list (along with a few other people), my dislike for her is not a jealousy thing. The first time I saw her on ECW with DJ Gabriel, I didn't like her, and that dislike has only grown over the years.

Another diva that's a waste of space. Seriously, we should have strong, well-spoken divas. Not models that are just meant for the male audience to look at.

Sorry for the confusion earlier. I didn't mean that EVERYONE who mentioned Alicia as next diva to be released was doing it out of jealousy of her dating Wade since Spring last year. But some - vehement - comments of some members here (incl. one who was so brave that she didn't even signed-in to comment ) clearly meant jealousy.

Maybe, the creative team should take a look at those fan fiction stories, other people have written at fanfiction.net and they would get a better clue, on how to write better storylines for their characters on their show. I just wish that Dave Finlay (aka Fit Finlay in the WWE), had not gotten fired, because he was a really good trainer for the divas division back then (from 2002-whenever it stopped being a good division), and if he was training them now, they would have been just as good as the divas division was back then.

I didn't like her for stealing signature moves from Trish Stratus, Molly Holly, Stacy Keibler, Lita (she made the headscissor takedown move look a whole lot worse than Lita's), and Torrie Wilson.

Yeah, I bet there are hundreds of women out there who like their male counterparts really want to be wrestlers and would be really good at it too. Its a shame that the WWE saw more in "dollybirds" as we say over here than talent. It applies to a lot of the divas.
